PROGRAM

 

1st DAY: Arrival to the Zagreb airport, meeting with the guide, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Zagreb › Hrvatsko Zagorje

2nd DAY: In morning you will visit Zagreb – the capital of The Republic. The guide will take you to the historical centre of the old city – the Kaptol Square, the Stone Gate, Tkalcic street, the green market Dolac…You will then proceed to the wonderfull hills of Hrvatsko Zagorje.Lunch in the agrotouristic centre Gresna Gorica. Afterwords you will reach Kumrovec, known for its Ethnic Museum and Ethnic Village «Staro Selo». This small city is as well known as the place of birth of Tito, once the president of the state of Yugoslavia. Return to hotel in Zagreb, dinner and overnight.

Zagreb › Sarajevo

3rd DAY: The journey from Zagreb to Sarajevo passes by the craotian lowland region Slavonia and through the central bosnian region by Jajce and Travnik. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been one of the most beautiful and interesting european countries for centuries – in the geographical, geological, cultural and historical sense. Accommodation in th hotel in Sarajevo, dinner and overnight.

Sarajevo

4th DAY: The whole day is dedicated to the visit of the city of Sarajevo. Once the city was oriental. Mosques, markets and turkish bazars yet speak for those times. The city became known in the world during the winter olympic games in 1984. Today Sarajevo is a lovely city that more and more tourists come to visit every year. In the morning you will first go on a bus tour around the city. You will visit the Olympic village, the Town Hall, the University, the Old Orthodox Church, the Ali-Pasha`s mosque and many more interesting spots. After lunch you will see a bit more of the city – the Old Town Hall, the Bascarsija, the old city, the Gazi Husrev-Bey`s mosque, the old muslim school medrasa etc. Dinner and overnight.

Sarajevo › Herceg Novi

5th DAY: Today`s journey goes from Bosnia and Herzegovina south to Montenegro. Arrival in Herceg Novi, dinner and overnight.

Herceg Novi › NP Lovcen › Cetinje

6th DAY: Herceg Novi is divided in the old part of the city with the old fortress and the new part of the city with its villas, parks and the coastal promenade. You will visit the central spot of the city – the Durkovic square with the simbol of the city – the Towerclock. You will also visit the old city walls, the old St.Hieronymus church, the venetian citadel, as well as the Fortress Spanjola and the Fortress Forte Mare. After you have visited the city you will go to the symbol of Montenegro- the mountain massif Lovcen in the homonymous national park. 1660 m above see lies the Petar Petrovic Njegos Mausoleum, a monumental work of art ( please take care to bring adequate footwear, a bit of shape is needed as well ). A rocky footpath will take you to a platform where you will be able to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. Your journey continues to Cetinje – once the capital city of Montenegro. Many peronalities are bonded with the history of this city; like Petar Petrovic Njegos or the prince Danilo. You will go on a pleasent walk with the guide ad visit all the famous cultural and touristicspots – the king Nikola's Castle, the Monasteries of Cetinje and Biljarda, the relics of St.Peter of Cetinje, the Zetski dom Montenegrin Royal National Theatre etc. Return to Herceg Novi, dinner and overnight.

Kotor › Budva

7th DAY: Today you will visit the beautiful montenegrian coast. First you will visit Kotor, an old city on the UNESCO's World Herritage List. It is the major touristic atraction of Montenegro. You will see the Towerclock, the luxurious Cathedral of St.Tripun etc. In the Maritime museum you will see archeological and cultural remains,ship models, old maps and arms. The journey follows the coast and passes by Budva – a famous seaside resort. You will also enjoy the views of the coast from the seaside by taking a boatride from Kotor. During the boattrip you will also visit the petit island Sveti Djordje and Gospa od Skrpjela. Return to Herceg Novi, dinner and overnight.

Dubrovnik

8th DAY: Today you will visit the breathtaking city of Dubrovnik. During the aprox.2h city visit you will see the franciscan Monastery, the old monastery farmacy – one of the oldest in Europe and the Cathedral Treasury known for its silver and gold values...The journey proceeds alongside the Makarska riviera. Accommodation in one of the most famous touristic spots of Croatia on the Riviera. Dinner and overnight.

Dubrovnik › Makarska Riviera

9th DAY: Makarska Riviera-National park «Plitvice lakes». The journey goes alongside the croatian cast up to the Plitvice lakes. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Plitvice Lakes › Bled

10th DAY: Plitvice lakes-Bled. Today you will visit the Nationl park of Plitvice lakes -unique for the beauty of its karst lakes connected by waterfalls, as well as for its rich flora and fauna. In 1949 the area of Plitvice lakes has been pronounced a National Park. Since 1979 the Plitvice Lakes are on the UNESCO's list. You will make your way around the lakes part on foot, part by boat and part by electric train. After this approx.4 hour visit you will proceed your journey to Slovenia. Arrival in Bled. Dinner and overnight.

11th DAY: Short morning visit of Bled. In the afternoon transfer to the airport in Zagreb. Departure for home journey.
