The tour starts on a fixed date from Zagreb and ends in Zagreb.

This is a classic tour tailored to see all the most popular and valurable tourist destinations in Croatia, with added taste of some local habits.

During this one week on tour you will visit:

  • the most visited croatian National Park – Plitvice
  • the 3 croatian geographical regions the inland
  • (with the capital Zagreb),
  • the southern croatian coast (Dalmatia) and
  • the northern croatian Coast (Kvarner and Istria).

PROGRAM

1st DAY: Arrival to Zagreb. Accommodation in the hotel. Dinner and overnight. Zagreb › Hrvatsko Zagorje

2nd DAY: Our tour starts in Zagreb – the capital of The Republic , its 30 museums speak for more than 900 years of history. The guide will take you to the historical centre of the old city – the Kaptol Square, the Stone Gate, the Tkalcic street, the green market Dolac...You will then proceed to the wonderful hills of Hrvatsko Zagorje. Lunch in the agrotouristic centre Gresna Gorica. Afterwords you will reach Kumrovec, known for its Ethnic Museum and Ethnic Village «Staro Selo». This small city is also known as the place of birth of Tito, once the president of the state of Yugoslavia. Return to Zagreb, dinner and overnight. National Park «Plitvice lakes»

3rd DAY: After breakfast, you will leave Zagreb and the region of Zagorje behind, and continue your journey towards the coast. This will be an unforgettable day especially for those in love with the untouched nature. The Plitvice Lakes are unique for the beauty of the karst lakes connected by waterfalls, as well as for the rich flora and fauna. In 1949 the area of Plitvice lakes has been pronounced a National Park and since 1979 they are on the UNESCOcs list. You will make your way around the lakes part on foot, part by boat and part by electric train. After this approx.4 hour visit you will proceed to Gracac and Knin up to Split. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight. Dubrovnik

4th DAY: After breakfast, the itinerary continues south, all the way to Dubrovnik. The city is on the UNESCOcs World Herritage list. The city is millenary and it is surrounded by magnificent walls and fortresses which testify the tempestous political and cultural history of the city. Walking through the Stradun street you will discover why the citizens of Dubrovnik are so proud of the renowned history of their city. Every corner of the city offers a unique frame for every sight. The guide will show you the beauties and curiosities of this wonderful city such as the franciscan Monastery, the old monastery farmacy – one of the oldest in Europe, and the Cathedral Treasury known for its silver and gold values. After this approx.4 hour guided tour of the city, full of impressions you will return to Split. Dinner and overnight. Split › Trogir › Sibenik

5th DAY: After breakfast you will first go on a guided tour of your host city – Split. The city is a lively museum where the Emperor Diocletian built a luxurious imperial villa 293 a.c. You will also visit other famous monuments of Split such as the St.Domnius Cathedral. The next city to explore is Trogir - one of the most beautiful mediterranean citties, which was founded on an island by the Greeks in the 3 rd century a.c. You will visit the central square with the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the patron of the city. Walking through the old streets you will enjoy the various epochesc constructions such as the Chappel of Bl.Ivan Ursini, the Cipiko Palace, the Town Hall, the Church of St.Barbara etc. The tour proceeds to Sibenik where you will visit the St. James Cathedral, one of the most famous pieces of work of the late medieval ( listed by UNESCO). Around the Cathedral, inside the absides, there is a frieze of 71 sculuptures representing the late citizens from the time when the Cathedral was built. Return to Split. Dinner and overnight. Zadar › Opatija

6th DAY: After breakfast, you will leave Split behind, and continue your journey alongside the beautiful croatian coast and the National Park of Kornati, up to Zadar, where you will have a brake. The city of Zadar, 3000 years old, has been the capital of Dalmatia for centuries. It has preserved the antique appearance of its streets among the old city walls. The city is well known for its St.Donat Church. In 1396. the first croatian university was founded in this city. The first croatian novel has been written in this city, as well as the first newspaper has been edited here. In 1821 the first bottle of Maraschino liqueur was made in Zadar – a nice souvenir to take home. After you have seen the beauties of Zadar you will proceed your way to the Gulf of Kvarner, where your host city will be Opatija – «the pearl of Kvarner». Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight. Opatija

7th DAY: Today's itinerary will be easygoing. After breakfast you will take a walk with the guide along the Franz Joseph's promenade and enjoy the beautiful views of the many Opatija's villas built in the 19th century. The walk proceeds through the botanical garden, with the flower maze, and ends with coffee and cake in the famous Cristall Ballroom of the old Hotel Kvarner – a cosy morning, just like the ones noblemen used to spend 2 centuries ago is guaranteed. The afternoon is at leisure. We suggest a wellness programme or a 2,5 km walk on the coastal promenade from Opatija to the beautiful small fisherman's village Volosko. In the evening – dinner with folklore sounds of a «klapa» band – traditional for the croatian coastal regions . Istria tour › Rovinj › Porec › Motovun

8th DAY: After breakfast you are going to explore the region of Istria – the 2 most beautiful cities of its coast – Rovinj and Porec, and its interesting inland town of Motovun. Your first stop will be made in Rovinj - the fascinating city of centennial staircases, narrow walkways, tall houses and palaces decorated with lions of St. Marc. The well known St.Euphemiacs Basilica watches on the city. Your next stop will be in the city of Porec and its Euphrasian Basilica known for the beautiful mosaics. The basilica is on the UNESCOcs list since 1997. Porec is a compact city, full of late antique structures of the medieval and Venetian era. Nowdays, Porec is known as a luxurious touristic destination as well as the city of excellent wines. On your return to Opatija, a stop will be made in Motovun – a gorgeus medieval city that lies on a hill. The region is well known for truffels, and you will have the opportunity to taste some in Livade. Dinner and overnight in Opatija.
